The best comedy club in Dublin City In Stitches comedy brings a fun and unique comedy experience. "Stand Up on the Spot" Every Tuesday at  In Stitches Comedy is the ultimate live comedy rollercoaster where three hilarious stand-up comedians take the stage to deliver side-splitting laughs for 10 minutes each. 

In the second half here's where it gets wild - the audience becomes the star of the show! Armed with suggestions for the comedy buckets labelled "Current Events" and "Chaos,". Our lively crowd throws their wildest, wittiest, and weirdest ideas into the mix. From trending topics to off-the-wall antics, no joke is off-limits in this unpredictable laughter fest. Get ready to witness the magic as comedians turn your suggestions into instant comedy gold, creating a night of stand-up hilarity you won't find anywhere else! It's unscripted, unrestrained, and unbelievably funny – "Stand Up on the Spot" is the show where the audience takes center stage, and the laughter never stops!

  • Anna Clifford

Anna Clifford is an Irish Comedian, a natural entertainer with a strong stage presence and jokes to match. She has had audiences across the globe laughing with her relatable stories and witty observations on millennial life. Anna kicked off her comedy career while living in Vancouver, Canada since then she has been standing out against the best in the Irish and UK comedy circuit.

A Funny Women finalist, Anna made her TV stand up debut as part of “Laughter in the Eyre” RTE early in 2020 which she also presented alongside Karl Spain. She has also done work for BBC, RTE, Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe Festival, Electric Picnic, Pinterest, Ancestry.com and the Vodafone Comedy Carnival. 

  • Nghia Mai

Nghia Mai began doing Stand Up in Scotland in 2014 and has performed his unique brand of racially-infused humor on numerous stages across the world, entertaining audiences with his colorful stories including the relentless mispronunciation of his name.

In September 2019, he moved to Dublin, Ireland, to pursue further studies at Trinity College and is now immersing himself in the local Irish comedy scene.

In his short time in Ireland, Nghia has already made it to the finals of a number of competitions including the Cherry Comedy Breakout Act of the Year and Dublin's Next Top Comic. He's also the host of the Xin Chao Homie! Podcast. He recently performed at the 2021 Cat Laughs Summer Series. 

  • Shannon Basso Gaule

Shannon Basso Gaule is a Carlow-based comedian who started his career in New Zealand in 2019 and won the Best Newcomer awarded by the NZ comedy guild in 2020, while also making appearances at the Classic Comedy club. From there, he toured the country with two shows he co-produced; “Booze and Craic” and “Lucky to Be Here”. Since moving back home, he has gigged all over Ireland and Europe; making appearances at Cherry Comedy, Coco Comedy Club in Cork, The Craic Den Dublin, Hardy Har Bray, Cosmic Comedy in Berlin, and The Comedy Clubhouse in Barcelona. Shannon has opened for John Colleary as part of Lollapalooza in Sligo, was a finalist in Show me the Funny in 2022 and won second place in 2023, and is the resident host of Stand up at Scraggs, a monthly show based in Carlow.

Wednesday's: Peadar Kearney's - Cellar. Doors: 8:30pm / Shows: 9:00pm - 10:30pm. Fee: €10 with €6.50 pints and glasses of wine at the bar.
