Acts:
-Duane Doogan
Duane Doogan hails from Cork and is a regular at comedy clubs around the country and the resident MC at Pop the Cherry Comedy in Whelan’s. He has performed at the Vodafone Comedy Festival, Longitude Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe and opened for Neil Delamere and David McSavage. He was a finalist in Show Me The Funny 2016, which he lost. He was also seen on RTE’s Republic of Telly selling porn and kissing a lad, Niall in fact.-
-Â DOC Farrow
After spending 6 and a half years in the U.S. Military, as a Combat Corpsman, Doc finds that
he would rather be home than continuing his search for Iraqi strip clubs. Being asked to
leave the military, Doc emerged in 2010 from the ashes of Cocaine, Meth, and Alcohol
addiction, deciding that comedy would be easier on the liver.
Being live allows Doc to have a real story telling atmosphere in conveying his skeptical and
ironic views on the military, Family, race relations, sex, and his ever so interesting love
affair with his two ex-wives - Mrs. drugs and Ms. Alcohol. (Drugs got remarried)
His sets are a down to earth stillness that draws you in for the wave of manic energy,
drowning you in the undercurrent of pure laughter.
A true Homicidal Teddy Bear; giving you a glimpse into his upside-down view of how the
world should be destroyed, while displaying the cutest dimples you will ever see.
He has a thick Film & TV resume, to include such shows as "Curb Your Enthusiasm,"
"Modern Family," "Mom," "Will & Grace," "Hello Ladies," "Better Things" and "Con Man."
Most notably, he is in his fourth season recurring as "Coach Wilkins" on the hit CBS
Primetime show "Young Sheldon."
Doc has also lent his comedy to such charitable organizations as Disabled American Vets
(dav.org) American Legion (legion.org) and American Vets (amvets.org) for fundraising all
over California, building up his karma currency for a rainy day.
Even though his experiences, have taken him to some unwanted places, he still lives and
breathes with the idea that life isn’t to be taken too seriously. Whatever he is going
through, he knows that this too shall pass. But, while we are all sitting around waiting for it
to pass, we might as well live, laugh and get through it together.
Whether it is in a comedy club, or on a mountain top, there's not a corner of this globe that
couldn't use a good laugh, good conversation, and a dimple or two... As long as you are 21
and over.
