2023 Chortle Student Comedy Award

Now in its 19th year, the award has helped previous winners and finalists including Joe Lycett, Jamali Maddix, Ed Gamble, Chris Ramsey, Laura Lexx, Iain Stirling, Simon Bird and Tom Rosenthal get a leg-up in their early comedy careers.

A total of 11 regional heats will be held around the UK, followed by two semi-finals at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London before the prestigious final. The winner will receive £1,000 with £250 going to the runner-up – while all finalists will also get the chance to perform at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk in July.

Wednesday's: Cassidy's on Westmoreland. Doors: 7:30pm / Shows: 8:30pm — 10:30pm. Fee: Free / Donation.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday's and Sunday: Starting in February.
